November 12, 2024, Regular Bushnell Twp Board meeting called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Interim Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald with pledge of allegiance.
Present: Roll call: Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustee Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Interim Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald;
Absent: None Also present: Sexton Laura Baker;
Motion Bliss, support Draper to approve agenda and to further accept minutes of October 22, 2024, special meeting. Motion carried.
Motion Draper, support Bliss to approve payment of checks #5917-5936 in the amount of $17,572.29 written October 1–31, 2024. Carried.
Motion Belyou, support Draper to accept Treasurer's report as presented with a $107,707.38 balance as of October 31. Motion carried. Cash on hand is $100,450.35 currently.
Motion Draper, support Belyou to amend budget, transfer $2,000 from Township Board to Roads. Motion accepted.
Cemetery Sexton Laura Baker reported that the well is in at Sunny Hill Cemetery awaiting the pitcher pump for it. The fence is here, but not yet installed at Sunny Hill. Maple Ridge has been told that a 75 ft. from any gravesite clearance deviation is necessary to pursue installation of a well in that cemetery – which puts this project on hold.
Motion Draper, support Belyou in regard to ck# 5398, written June 20, 2023, to Buddy Deacons for $200 (which was for $100 fee each for Sunny Hill and Maple Ridge Cemeteries when he was cemetery sexton) that said check be returned to general fund. This check can later be rewritten when or if requested. Motion approved. PUBLIC COMMENT: none
Motion Draper, support Bliss to adjourn. With no additional business to discuss the meeting adjourned.
November 19, 2024, Special Bushnell Twp Board meeting called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Interim Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald with pledge of allegiance.
Present: Roll call: Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustee Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald;

Motion Bliss, support Draper to approve agenda. Motion carried. Due to no one running on the November 5, 2024, General Election for the position of Township Supervisor, Interim Supervisor Fitzgerald agreed to accept the position. Motion by Draper, support Bliss to appoint Mike Fitzgerald to the Township Supervisor position. It was approved unanimously by the board members.

PUBLIC COMMENT: none We were apprised of the acceptance of the grant request from EGLE made by the township earlier.
Discussed a waiver request by a neighboring farmer regarding building a 27,000 chicken barn closer to the Town Hall than what is the normal approved distance. Motion by Draper, support Bliss to table the issue until the December 10, regular meeting and to further authorize Supervisor Fitzgerald to contact the attorney for direction. Motion approved.
Motion by Bliss, support Draper to adjourn. With no additional business to discuss the meeting adjourned.
