Bushnell Township does not discriminate on the basis of disability in its services, programs or activities, including this website and its public meetings. On request the township will provide aids and services so that a person with a disability can take part equally, and will make reasonable changes to its policies to do so.

How the site is built

Bushnell Township works to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard used for government websites. In practice that means:

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, and shows clearly where you are.
  • Pages are labelled for screen readers, with headings in order and a link to skip to the main content.
  • Text is large, in a typeface designed for readers with low vision, with strong contrast against its background.
  • Nothing depends on colour alone: states such as "Cancelled" are written in words.
  • The site works on a phone, when zoomed to 200 percent, and with JavaScript switched off.
  • Forms say what is wrong, in words, next to the field that needs fixing.

Documents

Minutes, ordinances and notices are posted as PDF files. Most can be read by a screen reader and searched. Some older documents are scans of paper pages and cannot. If you need one of those in another form, ask and the township will provide it.

Help at meetings

Township meetings are open to the public. If you need an accommodation to attend or take part, such as a sign language interpreter or a document in large print, contact the Township Clerk at (989) 248-3349 as early as you can before the meeting so arrangements can be made.
