May 14, 2024, Regular Bushnell Twp Board meeting called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Supervisor Christopher Smith with pledge of allegiance.

Present: Roll call: Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustee Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Supervisor Christopher Smith; Trustee Mike Fitzgerald; Absent: None; Others: DTE Jeff Haines; Attorney Shaydon Weaver; Laura Baker, Sexton; Scott Haney;

Motion Bliss, support Draper to approve amended agenda. Carried.

Motion Draper, support Bliss to accept minutes of April 9, 2024, regular meeting as presented. Motion carried.

Motion Draper, support Bliss to approve payment of checks #5835-5846 in the amount of $6,596.06 written April 1 – 30, 2024. Carried.

Motion Draper, support Bliss to pay Brandon Breen for regular mows only and wait to pay clean-up charge after receipt of itemized listing of clean-ups. Motion carried.

Motion Draper, support Belyou to accept Treasurer's report as presented with a $135,683.42 balance. Motion carried. Cash on hand is $133,665.80 per checkbook. Cemetery Sexton report led to the following conversations:

Motion Draper, support Fitzgerald approve Transfer Burial Rights Permit. Approved. Notarization of document encouraged, but is not mandatory.

Motion Draper, support Fitzgerald to approve Grave Tech LLC fees. Approved. Discussed quotes for cemetery fence and well. Decided to table until June meeting. Sheridan Community Fire Authority update: Stanton/Sheridan merge is on hold for now. The Authority is preparing a millage proposal to hopefully appear on the November 5, 2024, ballot.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Scott Haney spoke regarding gravel road with many potholes; Jeff Haines, DTE, gave board members invitations to DTE Fish Creek Solar Park Groundbreaking ceremony at 11 am, May 22, on Condensery Road in Sheridan. Old Business: A) Discussed DTE Solar App; B) EGLE Grant Discussion;

Motion Draper, support Fitzgerald to purchase 8'x10' storage shed w/access to setup. Carried

Motion Fitzgerald, support Draper to buy 3 - 7'x3' plastic tables from Quill. Approved Received a concern from a second shift worker regarding loud noise keeping them awake during their normal sleep time. Noise Ordinance was discussed. Second amendment Sanctuary was discussed.

Re: PA116: Chris will check with County Clerk Millard for info.

Motion Fitzgerald, support Draper to adjourn. With no additional business to discuss the meeting adjourned.
