July 8, 2025, Regular Bushnell Twp Board meeting called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald with pledge of allegiance.
Present: Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustee Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald; Trustee Lori Daly;
Absent: None Also present: Jeff Haines, DTE; DTE Atty Emily; Andy Ross; Nate Henschel, Consumers Power; David Eberle, Twp Atty; Andy Gordon, Twp Atty;
Motion Bliss, support Draper to approve agenda. Carried.
Motion Draper, support Daly to approve May 13, regular meeting minutes. Carried.
Motion Draper, support Daly to approve checks 6025– 6047 in the amount of $15,360.14 dated May 5 through June 30, 2025. Carried.
Treasurer apprised the Board that the first installment of EGLE grant money has been received. Motion Draper, support Daly to accept Treasurer's report as presented with a $355,668.26 balance as of June 30, 2025. Motion carried.
Sexton Baker reported headstone base has been poured. Sunny Hill fence is on site, not yet installed.
Motion Draper, support Belyou to direct attorney to assess gas ordinance and to work with DTE atty regarding solar battery storage. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: No public comment.
Karron to look into getting storage shed stained.
Motion Draper, support Daly to budget up to $160 one-time for kit to construct and install a "Little Library" box at the Town Hall. Motion carried.
Motion Draper, support Daly to adjourn. With no additional business to discuss the meeting adjourned.
