July 2024 Meeting Documents

July 9, 2024, Regular Bushnell Twp Board meeting called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Supervisor Christopher Smith with pledge of allegiance.

Present: Roll call: Trustee Mike Fitzgerald; Trustee Patrick Draper; Treasurer Karron Bliss; Supervisor Christopher Smith; Absent: Clerk Louise Belyou;

Others: Laura Baker, Sexton; Tom Ginster +2; Kelly Nicholson; K. Devers;

Motion Draper, support Fitzgerald, to approve agenda. Carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT: K. Devers regarding Noise; Tom Ginster introduced himself as candidate for office of Prosecuting Attorney;

Clerk Belyou arrived

Motion Fitzgerald, support Draper to accept Treasurer's report as presented with a $158,309.36 balance as of June 30. Motion carried. Cash on hand is $148,672.11 per checkbook.

Sexton Baker gave her monthly report that things are going fine.

Motion Draper, support Fitzgerald to accept minutes of June 11, 2024, regular meeting as presented. Motion carried.

Motion Fitzgerald, support Draper to approve payment of checks #5862-5874 in the amount of $15,885.44 written June 1–30, 2024. Carried.

Noise Ordinance discussion tabled until August.

Cemetery Improvement re: fence and well led to motion by Draper, support Bliss to award bid to Crystal Clear in amount of $6,828.32 for 2" wells at Sunny Hill and Maple Ridge Cemeteries. Motion carried.

Motion Draper, support Fitzgerald to award bid to Grave Tech in amount of $4,791.20 for Sunny Hill fence. Motion carried.

Motion made and supported to adopt Resolution No. 2024-1 R to declare inalienable right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America and incorporated by the due process clause of the 14 th Amendment.
