January 14, 2025, Regular Bushnell Twp Board meeting called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald with pledge of allegiance.

Present: Roll call: Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustee Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Supervisor Mike Fitzgerald; Trustee Lori Daly;

Absent: None Also present: Laura Baker; Wayne Hopkins; Robert Wolduis;

Motion Draper, support Daly to amend budget – $6,000 from professional to twp board.

Motion carried

Motion Draper, support Daly to accept Treasurer's report as presented with a $125,932.47 balance as of December 31. Motion carried.

Sexton Baker reported the well/pump at Sunny Hill is now installed.

Motion Draper, support Daly to accept Dec. 10, 2024, regular meeting minutes. Carried.

Motion Draper, support Daly to approve checks 5960-5970 totaling $2,498.09 written 12-1 thru 12-31-2024. Motion carried.

Motion Bliss, support Draper to approve 2025 Regular Meeting Schedule of 2nd Tuesday of odd months with meeting time 6:00 pm. Dates are: January 14; March 11; May 13; July 8; September 9; November 11; January 13, 2026. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: W.Hopkins voiced concern with glare from solar panels at site directly across M-57 from his home. Concern will be forwarded to DTE.

Motion Draper, support Bliss to approve Bushnell Township/ J and A Schrock Right To Farm Partial Waiver regarding proposed 27,000 chicken barn location. Motion carried. Annual salaries were discussed. Motion Draper, support Daly to raise Supervisor's salary from $8,000 to $9,000; Clerk's from $10,720 to $11,470; Treasurer's from $10,936 to $11,701; and Trustees' and special meetings from $113.50 to $135.00 per meeting.

Board of Review Resolutions as follows

Motion by Draper, support Daly to approve Alternate Start Dates. Ayes: Bliss, Belyou, Daly, Draper, Fitzgerald. Nays: NONE Absent: NONE Motion adopted.

Motion by Draper, support Daly to approve Township Household Income Standards for Poverty Exemption eligibility. Ayes: Bliss, Belyou, Daly, Draper, Fitzgerald. Nays:NONE

Absent: NONE Motion adopted.

Motion by Draper, support Daly to allow taxpayers & non-resident taxpayers to protest in writing for Board of Review. Ayes: Bliss, Belyou, Daly, Draper, Fitzgerald. Nays: NONE

Absent: NONE Motion adopted.

Motion by Draper, support Daly to accept Guidelines for Partial Poverty Exemption Guidelines. Ayes: Bliss, Belyou, Daly, Draper, Fitzgerald. Nays: NONE Absent: NONE

Motion adopted.

Motion Draper, support Daly to adjourn. With no additional business to discuss the meeting adjourned.
