November 9, 2022, Regular Bushnell Township Board meeting was called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Supervisor Christopher Smith with pledge of allegiance.
Present: Roll call: Supervisor Christopher Smith; Trustee Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Absent: Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustee Mike Fitzgerald; Others present: Commissioner Mike Beach; DTE rep Haynes;
Motion by Belyou, supported by Draper to approve meeting agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Draper, supported by Belyou to authorize Karron Bliss, Treasurer, to seek an establishment with better interest rate on the IRA Perpetual Care CD account. Motion carried.
Motion by Belyou, supported by Draper to accept treasurer's report with $180,116.85 balance. Motion carried.
Motion by Draper, supported by Belyou to accept the proposed dates/times for regular board meetings for 2023: 2nd Tuesday of each odd month at 6:00 pm as follows: January 10, 2023; March 14, 2023; May 9, 2023; July 11, 2023; September 12, 2023; November 14, 2023; January 9, 2024; Motion carried.
Motion by Draper, supported by Smith to accept minutes of September 13, regular meeting. Motion carried.
Motion by Draper, supported by Smith to approve payment of $29,386.81 for invoices paid 9-1-22 though 10-31-22. Motion carried.
Supervisor Smith apprised the board of the cost of the outside timed lights and electrical work performed by Tim Scott and presented a $312.56 invoice from Tim. Commissioner Beach reported that EMS fleet is in great shape. This is his last meeting with us as commissioner. Charlie Mahar will be our new commissioner. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None.
We were given an update on the Fire Authority.
Motion by Draper, supported by Smith to search for a firm for Engineering for Wind and Solar Management. Motion carried.
