April 12, 2022, Special Bushnell Township Board meeting was called to order at 6 pm at Bushnell Township Hall by Supervisor Christopher Smith with pledge of allegiance.

Present: Roll call: Supervisor Christopher Smith; Treasurer Karron Bliss; Trustees Mike Fitzgerald & Patrick Draper; Clerk Louise Belyou; Absent: none Others: Atty David Eberle; Commissioner Mike Beach; 16 others;

Motion by Fitzgerald, support by Draper to approve meeting agenda. Carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: Board apprised by citizen that it takes 8% of registered voters' signatures to petition to get zoning on ballot – intends to try; other said did not know about meeting; assorted people not in favor of solar for various reasons – health of children; eyesore; wildlife well-being; electric magnetic field; reminded of existing eagle nest in township; invertor (VERY NOISY!);

OLD BUSINESS: Bushnell Township not zoned; Atwell gathering signatures for leases for DTE; there are existing leases signed; Bloom Sluggett legal reps preferably write ordinances they feel can be defended positively if they wind up in court. Solar invertor noise issue was discussed.

PUBLIC COMMENT: suggestion to raise fines from $100 and $200 up to $500 or so;

Motion by Draper, support by Fitzgerald to send information from this meeting with our attorney to create the revised Bushnell Township draft ordinance. Carried.

Motion by Fitzgerald, supported by Draper to tentatively schedule a special meeting Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 6:00 pm to discuss the proposed Bushnell Township SOLAR ordinance to be held at Sheridan Community Center contingent on building availability. Motion carried. Meeting notice will be posted at hall and Supervisor's, Treasurer's, and Clerk's homes and will be published in The Daily News on May 14, the Saturday before the meeting.
